School Announcements for Wednesday, June 13th – Day 4


 

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES

  • There is a Junior Council lunch meeting today at 12 noon in Mrs. Barteaux’s room.  All Junior Council members should attend.
  • There will be a quick but important meeting for all current and interested Senior Band members Thursday at the beginning of Senior Lunch. 
  • Best Buddies will be having its final event on Thursday.  If you have not returned your consent form to Ms. Sheehy, please do so as soon as possible.
  • There are no Yearbook sales today.  Extra Yearbooks will be sold Thursday at Senior and Junior lunch in the Main Lobby for $37.  These books will be sold on a first-come first-served basis while supplies last.   

 

ATHLETICS

  • Congratulations to Derek Smith who won the World Powerlifting Championship yesterday in Calgary.  Derek squatted 242 kg, benched 160 kg and deadlifted 272 kg.  Great job Derek!
  • Unified Sport and Special Athletes are asked to please return their jerseys to Ms. Croft.

           

STUDENT SERVICES

  • If you are a Graduating Student whose parent is a member of CUPE Local 3876.  Please see Mrs. Arthur for a bursary opportunity.
  • Graduating Students – as you finalize your plans for after graduation, be sure to let Mrs. Arthur know.

Did you receive an offer of an entrance award?  If so, bring the documentation to Mrs. Arthur so you can be recognized during Graduation.

 

GRAD INFORMATION

  • Attention Grade 12 students:  The office is renting out grad gowns this week.  Please pick up the gown and cap & tassel as soon as possible as there are limited gown sizes available.  A $25 deposit is required, with $5 returned on the night of graduation.

OTHER INFORMATION

  • The Town of Middleton is offering an afterschool Orienteering Program for interested students in grades 6-9 beginning today from 3:30 – 5:00 pm at Centennial Park.  Students can register on line at discovermiddleton.ca.  There is no cost for this program.
  • The June Exam schedule has been posted throughout the school.  Students are to notify Mr. Bower of any conflicts ASAP.
