School Announcements for Tuesday, May 15th – Day 8



  • GSA News:  The GSA Club is acceptance, inclusive, and active. This club is a safe space for everybody to express who they are without judgment, criticism, and hate. The GSA Club plans fun events, holds meetings weekly, and informs the school as much as we can. The GSA Club Is love, expressive, and encouraging. The MRHS GSA will be celebrating International Day Against Homophobia Thursday, May 17th by spreading awareness and promoting diversity throughout the week and a flag raising on Thursday.  Show your support on Thursday by wearing something brightly coloured!!
  • A reminder Senior Brass Ensemble will be on Friday at 8 am instead of Wednesday this week.
  • The bus for Face aux Questions will be leaving at 3:45 today from the New Gym.
  • Félicitations à Erika Boswall, Jasmine Couturier, Nora McLennan et Trenton Sabean for winning the 8th grade Integrated Division at Face aux Questions last night.  You all did a great job!
  • The MRHS Techsploration team were great ambassadors for our school last Thursday & Friday @ Saint Mary’s Techsploration Event.  Their skit about Halifax Water and our Role Models got lots of rave reviews!  Awesome job to MRHS Techsploration and a big thanks to the Alumnae that helped out!



  • There is Special Athletes Track practice today.  Please meet in Ms. Croft’s room at 2:25 pm.
  • Track practice takes place this week today & Thursday 3:30 – 5:00 at Rotary Park.
  • Unified Sport Basketball Players, please return your jerseys to Ms. Croft or Ms. Sheehy.
  • The Girls Softball team have a pre regional game in Bridgetown on Wednesday. Be there for warm up at 5:30pm.  The team practice Thursday and Friday at Rotary 3:30-5:30
  • The Boys Softball team host SMBA in a double header today at Rotary Park.



  • Graduating Students – as you finalize your plans for after graduation, be sure to let Mrs. Arthur know if you receive an offer of an entrance award.  If so, bring the documentation to Mrs. Arthur so you can be recognized during Graduation.







  • Nominations for Senior Student Council Cabinet positions for next year are open.  Please see committee responsibilities posters in the senior hallways for more information or ask any current Student Cabinet member.  If you are interested in a position, please see Mr. LeBlanc or Ms. Greenlaw by Friday, May 25th.
